2 kg of apples (Gala and Braeburn)
1/4 cup of lemon juice (squeezed from 2 lemons)
3 tablespoons of brown sugar (optional)
Directions to cook
- Peel and slice the apples.
- Put the apples into the pan, add lemon juice and 1.5 cup of water. Boil on a high heat until it simmers, then reduce the heat and boil until the apples are boiled soft for about 25 minutes.
- Beat up thoroughly by hand or an electric mixer. You can also blender the mixture. Add sugar (optional).
- Cool it and store it in a hermetically closed container.
